Seventeen Days on Paxil

My 30-year-old son was put on Paxil, and committed suicide 17 days later.  He used a 22-rifle to the temple.

He was having another paranoid experience.  He had had them before.  His employer told him to get counseling.  He went to a counselor who referred him to a physician, who immediately got out the Rx pad and wrote him a prescription for Paxil 20 mg and Klonopin 0.5 mg.

17 days later he killed himself.  There were 13 pills left in the bottle which originally had 30.  He had never taken Paxil or any SSRI, SNRI, or "antipsychotic" before.

The lab blood analysis has determined 20ng/mL of paroxetinein his blood.  An attorney, a former employee of the law firm of Baum Hedlund, is examining my son's data to determine if a lawsuit is warranted.
