In Re: T.C.,
2007 VT 115 (October
12, 2007). In this case the Vermont Supreme Court affirmed the trial
court's finding that the state had not proved T.C. was in need of continued
treatment, and did not allow him to be drugged against his will.

On November 17, 2006, in the case of
In Re: L.A., the Vermont Supreme
Court overturned a forced drugging order, ruling that disagreeing with the
psychiatrist over taking the medications can not be sufficient grounds for
finding the person incompetent to refuse and remanded the case.
